Why Vanguard Doesn't Ban Me.
The "Immune to Bans" Reality.
Every time I call out someone's skins in a lobby, players type: "Enjoy your Vanguard ban." Over three years and thousands of live games, my account has never received a single strike. Here is what Vanguard actually checks, and what my setup actually does.
| Check | What Vanguard Bans | What My Setup Does |
|---|---|---|
| Game Memory | Injected DLLs, runtime memory hooks, cheat overlays | Zero memory access. Runs as a separate external script |
| Local Files | Modifying game binaries or packed .pak assets on disk |
Untouched local installation. Zero game files modified |
| Data Scope | Player coordinates, aim angles, wallhacks, combat advantage | Cosmetic skin IDs before round one. Zero combat advantage |
| Network Route | Intercepting live game traffic, sniffing packets, or server spoofing | Private authenticated requests directly to Riot servers. Zero packet injection |
| Live Outcome | Permanent Vanguard HWID Machine Ban | 1,200+ clean days without a single strike |
How external telemetry
differs from memory hacks.
When most players hear that someone can see what skins are equipped before round one, they immediately assume it's an in-game cheat like wallhacks or an aimbot.
Here is the difference for any normal person to understand: I am not touching the game at all.
Actual cheats inject malicious code into the game while it's running, modify game files on your hard drive, or read protected memory to see through walls. Vanguard exists specifically to detect and ban that kind of tampering.
I do none of that. I do not read game files. I never touch game memory. Instead, my external tool reads public lobby telemetry from outside the game. It queries read-only network endpoints and displays cosmetic IDs.
Vanguard detects code injection, DLL hooks, and memory modification. External read-only network queries never touch game memory or client files.
"I'm not looking into your game files or tampering with the match. I am asking the database directly from the outside."
The 1,146-day reality.
Why Vanguard stays quiet.
Three years. Thousands of live Valorant matches. Zero strikes. You do not survive live Vanguard deployment for 1,146 days by accident.
Riot knows who runs this account. They reviewed the pipeline, saw zero harm to competitive integrity, and chose not to touch it.
Random scripts get banned on injection. My pipeline stays clean because Riot knows exactly who holds the access.
If what I was doing was unauthorized, Riot would have pulled the plug on day one.
